About the Job:

We are looking to recruit experienced Electrical/Mechanical engineers to join our expanding team here at The Boardley Group, We have roles available in our Ipswich & Peterborough Sites.

Established in 1921, Boardley & Roberts have built an enviable reputation for consistently producing top quality rewinds, overhauls and engineering services throughout the East Anglian region & surrounding areas. This has been achieved in part by our ability to adapt to the ever changing needs of our customer base. We are still to this day family owned and have marked our 100 year anniversary a few years ago.

Reporting directly to the Workshop Co-Ordinator you will be responsible for all quotes, servicing, overhauls, rewinds & site work. Working predominantly in a thriving workshop as well as on site representing the Company.

Duties will include but not be limited to the following:

Stripping pumps, electric motors, gearboxes, fan units & other electrical equipment for evaluation / quotation. finding out what the problem is and working with the Workshop Co-Ordinator to source parts.
Following through with the repairs to completion and satisfactory testing of all repaired equipment before it being delivered back to our customers.
Attending various sites for removal of equipment, repairing & refitting. This may be from a bearing chance on site, laser alignment, servicing of equipment, or removal, repairing in our workshop and returning to site to refit. Making sure all equipment is tested and running before leaving the site.
Being part of an ‘On Call’ rota to respond to emergency works which is shared out between all engineers.
Keeping your workspace, and workshop organised and tidy at all times.
